Sava, d.d. is the management centre of the Sava Group, whose strategic directions focus on investments in tourism.
In accordance with the Strategy of the Sava Group and of Sava, d.d., which was adopted at the beginning of 2019, the Group has been transformed into the largest tourism group in Slovenia, which is an important provider of tourism services in the Alpine, Thermal Pannonian, and the Mediterranean Slovenia. Sava, d.d. is a 95.48% owner of Sava Turizem, d.d. As at 1 April 2020, the merger of Hoteli Bernardin, d.d. with Sava Turizem, d.d. was entered in the court register and as of the cut-off date of 30 June 2019, the companies have been operating as a single entity. Hoteli Bernardin, d.d. became a part of the Sava Group at the beginning of 2019.
Sava d.d. has a two-tier system of corporate governance and is a non-public limited company, since its share (SAVR) is not included in the organised market of securities. The largest owners of Sava d.d. are Slovenski državni holding (62% of ownership) and Kapitalska družba d.d. (28 % of ownership).
Due to the investments in Slovenian tourism, Sava d.d. ranks among the most important investments according to the classification of state assets.
