The procedure of selling the stake of Gorenjska banka d.d. begins
Sava d.d. is undergoing a business and financial restructuring procedure. Already for several months, we have been negotiating with our creditors, i.e. banks, DUTB d.d. (hereinafter: BAMC), the content of the restructuring process, which is based on ambitious strategy of consolidating tourism companies, in which Sava d.d. holds – either directly or indirectly – its capital investments.
A part of the restructuring process also includes divesting of the financial pillar of Sava d.d. with its major investments in Gorenjska banka d.d. and the share fund Alpen.SI. Certain creditors requested from the Management Board of Sava d.d. to accelerate the dynamics of divesting the investments in Gorenjska banka d.d. and the share fund Alpen.SI in order, of course, to deleverage Sava d.d. and to repay loans to banks and BAMC, respectively.
Assisted by the renowned German advisor firm EquityGate from Wiesbaden that specialises in merger and take-over activities (MA) or transactions, respectively, and ranks among the ten best corporate advisors worldwide, the Management Board of Sava d.d. has initiated the procedure of selling a 44.07% qualified equity stake (the bank’s s shares with voting right) in Gorenjska banka d.d., Kranj.
